Ms. Lofstrom received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California
State University, Northridge. As part of her studies, she served as a
political intern with former Councilman Hal Bernson and was later appointed
to Mayor Tom Bradley’s Youth Advisory Council to represent her Councilmanic
District. She earned a Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School
of Law where she distinguished herself as a member of both Law Review
and the Moot Court Board of Governors, earning the Dean's nomination for
recognition from Outstanding Young Women of America and Who's Who Among
American Law School Students.
Ms. Lofstrom served on the California Franchise Law Committee, and was
honored to have been appointed Co-Chair of the Committee. She was instrumental
in establishing a productive and collegial working relationship with the
California Department of Corporations and under her leadership, widespread
changes to California’s franchise registration procedure were established,
now called “Risk Based Review.” Ms. Lofstrom is a member of
the American Bar Association's Forum on Franchising and both the Business
Law and Intellectual Property Sections of the California State Bar. She
participates in the International Trademark Association roundtables.

Ms. Lofstrom
has been selected as the 2009-2010 Chairman of the Board for the Long
Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, its Leadership Cabinet. She has also served
on the Board of Directors of the Long Beach Chamber’s Women's Business
Council and as the first two-term President in that organization’s
44 year history. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the Women’s
Leadership Exchange and as a member of the Women President’s Organization.
